Re: Algarve
there is a bit of basic info to be found here:
http://www.iknow-portugal.co.uk/tourist ... ira_beach/
http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g1 ... garve.html
http://www.thevillaagency.co.uk/boat.htm
I have spent a few months (backpacking during the summer hols in the mid 70s) fishing with the locals in the Sagres, Salema and Burgau area, mainly from their boats during nighttime, similiar species as around here, even bass, garfish, lots of doggies etc, so if you imply similar tactics you should have some success, the odd Barracuda spinning from the rocks, best advice is talk to the locals, the Portuguese are friendly folk, knowing a bit of the lingo usually helps no end.
Albufeira is a tourism hotspot now, infamous for stag parties but just ask around, you might be lucky.
Tight Lines!
