razors on dollymount

seen a pile of empty razor shells down by bull wall, so would be presuming this is a fine mark for collection of the living versions also.. any thoughts on this?

im from there but have never used them nor seen anyone collecting theres certainly plenty of holes around the lug beds that i was told were from razors if you tell me how you collect them, ill be diggin lug a few times over the next while and ill check it out cause i wouldn mind usin them myself

pour salt down the hole then grab them as the pop out

thats what i was told as a child , never tried it,thought it was an old wives tale

yeah, washing up bottle filled with very salty water, a good squirt down the hole works..they think it is the incomin tide and pop out to feed. gonna try it myself down there, i'm local too. the corner of the beach down by the bathing spots is full of their shells so would stand to reason they are there...

probably see you fishing that area over the summer
my folks live on the island and its near my time to start fishing around dublin
and ill give the salty water a go (when no ones lookin)
