bass habits

#1 Post by kenf41 »

i didnt think Bass ventured past wexford after oct
its a long time since i fished for them till recently, but when i did, i never saw Bass after the shoals of pollock turned up in late october, and the earliest they would be seen again was late march n0w i beieve they dont venture far from where they were spawned until they are about 4 lb
someone mentioned an onshore breeze churnin the bottom
i have only ever seen nights when larger numbers of Bass were caught arund dublin when we had east winds bringin good surf
anyone know about their movements

They can be caught along the S and SW coast every month of the year, just make sure conditions are right.
