What is the Best time of the Year for the Bass around Dublin

#1 Post by colin08 »

Hi Guys,
Im still searching to catch my first Bass. What is the best time to Target them so as I am not
wasting my time. I am looking to fish anywhere between Wicklow and Carlingford if anyone can give me a
spot to fish that would be good. I live outside Malahide if anyone knows some near by spots?

You need 500 posts before your allowed into the Dublin Bass Club (DBC), or you could bribe the club director (thats me  ).

Only kidding, your in prime bass land there, but just not at this time of the year.

Travel light, move around, and put in the time, you'll soon be chalking bass up on the species list :D

have to disagree with ya shamoo from now is when you have to start trying cos if you dont put in the time you wont find out when they do turn up,march april and may(till the ban) are usually the months that produce the best fish ,if you want quantity wait till july ,aug and sept  my bassing started two weeks ago 8)
