i know its a bit early yet but are there any showing anywhwere in ireland yet.
Lure caught Fish 2014- Pollack, Coalie, Pouting, Poor Cod, Dab, Cod, Whiting, Flounder, Plaice, Bass, SeaTrout, Grey Gurnard, Scad, SandSmelt, Red Gurnard, Launce, Lesser Sandeel, Rock Goby, Black Goby, Shanny, Mackerel, Herring, Dragonet, Ballan Wrasse, Corkwing Wrasse, GoldSinney Wrasse, Lesser Weaver, Butterfish, Perch, Pike

Fly Caught Fish 2014- Pollack, Coalie, Whiting, Mackerel, Sea Trout, Brown Trout, Perch, Roach

i went looking for them last sat ... no fishing gear... at a spot that later on, will be bursting with them ...... and nothing..... if the weather holds and the temp holds ... surely ... if you build it ...they will come..........

shore species 2008(25):dogfish(3.1lbs), bull huss (12lb 2oz), bass, shore rockling, coalie, whiting, pollack, conger (22.4lbs),flounder, thick lipped mullet (4.8lbs),turbot,ling (11.2lbs),ballan wrasse(4.5lbs), cuckoo wrasse, pouting, poor cod, cod (9.5lbs), dab, 3 bearded rockling, long spined scorpion fish, corkwing wrasse, plaice, trigger fish, sea trout, garfish

cheers lads. from about mid april i will be keeping an eye out for them in strangford lough or millisle.

Plenty in Roscarbery. Had them taking bread there on Tuesday...that was..until the bloody swans arrived :evil:
Sea Species(25) bass, codling, whiting, turbot, seatrout, stingray, pollock, coalfish, longspine scorpion, ballan wrasse, dogfish, ling, pouting, poor cod, dab, mackerel, smelt, sandeel, launce, bull huss, painted ray, thick lip mullet, golden grey mullet, rock goby.
Fresh Water (2) brown trout, sea trout

There are a few around a wee spot in north down at the mo ,myself ,davy and colin c spent a few hours chasing them today after a failed attempt at sea-trout ,not a million miles from bangor either :wink: davy will be going mullet mad now he's seen them so close to home :lol: :twisted:
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

im still in shock that we saw mullet today :shock: there was atleast 50 fish ranging from 1-4lb.
thats around 7-8wks earlier than i`ve ever saw mullet,but then again i`ve never checked that mark before.
it was a very interesting day 8)

i take it you were trying the sea side of the road? those bloody swans are a real pain in the neck :x there are some massive fish along there but its so hard to fish it properly cos of the bread nickers :cry:
i prefered the lagoon side as the swans dont bother you there.
wouldn`t mind a run down there this year but cant see it happening :cry:

Nice one on the Mullet lads. Had a failed attempt at the sea trout myself today ronald, fishing strangford lough. Roll on the spring, thats what i say! 8)

must have a look around millisle or strangford lough, my grandad said that he saw something moving in the lagoon in millisle a few days back, must have a look for myself, believe me if there is i will be down every evening to yarget them :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

a couple of days back i was going over the canal in ards looked at the mouth of it there seemed to be fish moving init, what they were i dont know.
