People:Myself

Duration:4pm-8pm

Tide:rising

Weather:calm

Bait:Rag,Lug,Squid and mackeral

Rigs:3 hook and pulley

Results:whitning 1, flounder 2, dab 1.

Report:

I hadnt been out in a while and wanted to try out my new reel diawa 7ht. I set up one bait rod and had a few cast with the other to try out the new reel.
Baits were coming back untouched for about an hour and a half. I was only half watching the bait rod while practicing casting .I got used to the reel and gradually lowered the brakes and got some good distances.I started to focus on the bait rod as it start getting dark . I taught i was going to blank as baits were still coming back untouched. As it got dark i had a small dab didnt even fell it coming in . That was followed by two small flounders on the next two cast. I put out a bait at distance and had a pin whitning.
Enjoyed getting out to test new reel and it was a lovely evening.

Good stuff at least you avoided the dreaded blank. The 7ht is a cracking reel and will serve you well.
