No.1 'A passion for angling' with Chris Yates and Bob James - no sea fishing in it though
no. 2 'Rex Hunt'
no. 3 'go Fishing' with John Wilson - his biography is great as well

worst
anything with Matt Hayes in it

i really like henry gilbeys shows....might not be everyones cup of tea but he gives an honest take on fishing.....ie missing bies, frustration mullet pose plus he shows alot more when it comes to rigs and stuff in my opinion.

Paul young Fishing for Sea trout in Argentina most trout he caught was over 20lb. He is the most humble of all the presenters on tv.

Judging by the shows youre mentioning it seems you guys are all watching Discovery fishing programme's. For any of you that arent aware, and have Sky, Channel 280 Horse & Country is running fishing programmes. Alot of it is course fishing, anglers such as Bob Nudd, John Bailey. But John Bailey and Hywell Morgan have both got series running which have got alot fly fishing in them, good fly tying presentations as well as casting advice etc. Unfortunately Sea Angling does not feature very highly on their agenda!! But for those of you like me that have seen every single episode of Go Fishing, Hooked on Fishing, Fishing with Henry, Fishing on the Edge etc there are some great new programmes.

My personal Favourite's :
1 John Wilson - the man has been presenting an promoting angling for years an despite the continuous laughter an giggling is a fine angler an ambassador for the sport.
2. Chris Yates an Bob James - Childlike enthusiasm for angling that is very catchy!! Its like Last of the Summer Wine for anglers!! Cant watch them without wanting to be out by the water!!
3. Rex Hunt - Very entertaining presenter. Hugely involved in giving kids a taste for fishing. Plenty of variety in his shows.
Ah yes, 1974, The Cod Wars. I hated Cod so of course I signed up straight away.

henry is the man :D :D there was another good series made in ireland available on youtube. not sure if it ever made it to tv thow. there were 2 series with a couple of episodes in each, one was called hookem & cookem and that's fishing!. it was made by a local guy Alan Hanna. jordan loved them. there was a good sea fishing show on discovery called, i fish. it was hosted by 2 auzzie guys called lee rainer and paul worseling. i think one of them married rex hunt's daughter or something. it had a great segment called tackle rat that showed how to tie knots and rigs that was excellent. i'll have to keep an eye out for it again when it re- runs and record it :P

I like Rex Hunt alright, very witty but its hard at times to relate with to it with few fish available here.

Same as most of the rest of the lads,

Henry as he spends most of his time doing what we are doing,
Paul Young (Scottish connections obviously :) )
Passion For Angling, great series love the fish retrieving dog, the big beards and their general sensibilties
The Aussie Rexy and I-Fish programs are great for their enthusiasm.
Don't think Coast to Coast has had a mention yet which was on the BBC when he went around Ireland, forget the presenters name though.
Have nothing against Matt Hayes.

Avoid like the plague John Wilson, that man drives me nuts! And that Hardcore fisherman program that was on one of the satellite channels which seemed to be the same thing happening every episode and was rubbish (in my opinion anyway).
2019 Species (8): Whiting, Coalfish, Dogfish, Bass, Coalfish, Dab, Lesser Spined Sea Scorpion, 5 Bearded Rockling

i think the hardcore fishermen have gone back to doing high speed coke runs to the states ,i think all the white dust on the boats was one reason they got so excited
