GREYSTONES 27-02-09

#1 Post by eyesreilly »

People:me

Duration:5-30pm-8pm

Tide:low at 6-30pm

Weather:calm, mild, dry

Bait:lug,mack,squid

Rigs:flappers and mini rig

Results:10+whiting,1 x 5 bearded rockling,1 x coalie,2 dabs

Report:short session after work to see how Greystones is fishing, as Alanjordan is coming down from Belfast tomorrow to fish it. It didnt disappoint, with bites coming thick and fast once twilight came. First came a coalie at distance, followed by a dab on the small rod in close. 5 Bearded rockling came next, then came the whiting, singles and doubles. Was delighted to get another dab later on to show theres a few around. Even got a fish on the last cast, a whiting, so i was well pleased  . No doggies, i tried a large mack bait, but no takers  .Lug worked well with squid, but mack on its own worked ,,i got the second dab on it. Nice session,,,surprised nobody else was around.
