first night between the 5 of u around 20 rockling second outing graham 1 flounder fine fiish:
cant remember what day the first outing was any how dug up some fresh lug and headed to a mark which i have fished 2 times over the past 4 moths and have had i specimen place and another not far off a specimen size and way got there and Kev who i always bump in to out fishing was there with 2 of his buddy they had a go few rockling by that stage on my and dirmuid first cast we both got double shot of rockling and and so on only fish type of the night kev did get a Cole fish all in all i got 5 rockling and dirmuid got 3 and the last worked out around the same for the life of me i cant tell shore rockling and 3b rockling apart have a look at the pics below can some one tell me .
second outing just me and graham headed to the same rock mark and dug up some lug at low water and fished
the tide in it was the only fish of the day but a lovely fish flounder 48cm and just over 2 1/2 Lbs

I agree with Shamoo - they do look like five bearded rocklings. Often the beards stick to the fish's snout, you need to rub a finger over it to make them stand out.
They appear to be very common at the moment - and unfortunately not much else about.
Well done on the flounder - 48 cm is an impressive fish.

nice fishing lads, that flounder is a monster
. i've replied to last cast lad's questions on how to i.d. the rocklings in the Q&A section. there are lots of pics and info that will help you out. the 4 you have there are all 5 bearded rockling
