Re supermag 525

#1 Post by Conger »

Hi Lads

I have been using the slosh20 for about a year and a half but recently invested in a supermag 525 as i was advised that this is easier to control, just wondering could someone advise on the set up of this reel i have already asked in relation to the recommended line and have been told to go with ultima f1 but just need to know is there anything that needs to be done or set up before use, all advice greatly welcome

Regards

C

the 525 mag i got was ready to use straight out of the box, the only thing i added was line, as i use it for rough ground i put 18-20lb line line on it

Make sure you have the mags on full when you cast it the first time too! Don't ruin all that F1 with a big birdie!! :D
Just make sure that the spool has a little lateral movement too and you'll be set!

another tip is not to over fill the spool with line ,leave a gap of about 2/3 mm from the spool edge.
