Hi Folks
Just had a look at the confirmed exhibitors for the show (http://www.angling-ireland-show.info/ht ... itors.html) doesnt seem to be to geared towards the sea fishing side, hopefully more sea fishing suppliers are confirmed.
How was the dublin show this weekend anything worth talking about????
Cheers
Julio

Belfast Angling Show 2009
Y'all know me. Know how I earn a livin'. I'll catch this bird for you, but it ain't gonna be easy. Bad fish. Not like going down the pond chasin' bluegills and tommycods. This shark, swallow you whole. Little shakin', little tenderizin', an' down you go. And we gotta do it quick, that'll bring back your tourists, put all your businesses on a payin' basis. But it's not gonna be pleasant. I value my neck a lot more than three thousand bucks, chief. I'll find him for three, but I'll catch him, and kill him, for ten. But you've gotta make up your minds. If you want to stay alive, then ante up. If you want to play it cheap, be on welfare the whole winter. I don't want no volunteers, I don't want no mates, there's just too many captains on this island. Ten thousand dollars for me by myself. For that you get the head, the tail, the whole damn thing.

The Dublin Show was ok but nothing to write home about. A few bargains but severely lacking towards the sea angling side. Casting demonstration was good but there was no reel tuning was a 'reel' let down

For sure, all you had to do was ask, we were more than happy to, even brought a pile of spares. Whats the problem with them?

Re: Belfast Angling Show 2009
Sorry lads ye are right I should have asked ye. I got a 6500 sport mag that's running like a bag of nails. There is thick black oil in the bearings and no matter what I do it is constantly over-running - even with the magnets locked down full and the spool float completely tightened up. Any ideas?
Also I've tried to clean the bearings with petrol but to no avail

Re: Belfast Angling Show 2009
Thats the prob,,,,,, its a sports mag
Just joking, there not that bad i swear...
Take the shields off and soak the bearings in lighter fluid over night that will clear out the very thickest of greece, then throw 2 drops of red RF in each.
If your consistantly blowing up its down to not having enough breaking,, while the spool is out of the cage check your slidy mag do-da to make sure it is moving in and out from where the side of the spool should be when the reel is assembled also check to see that you have all magnets in place on that ring, then sort that your latteral spool movement is right (about a mm or so) and that should be that.
