split rock

i was thinking of heading up to the split rock today but ive only got mackeral as bait :evil: is there any point?

Don't think so. I have fished mackerel off there before and caught nothing, but then again I've fished other baits off there and also caught nothing. You might get lucky if you can drop it down in front of you or to the left. If the crab pots are down and you can see the white floats in the water, it kinda limits you options.

Might be better off casting off Balscadden high rocks for whiting IMHO.

yeah i had no luck but ive gotten used to it.nice place to fish though
