As I understand it, writing to your local TD is a waste of time as all power over fisheries has been given to the European Union.
A good bet is to contact your local MEP and voice concern through that channel. One such MEP worth contacting would be Avril Doyle. Her website is http://www.avrildoyle.ie/. Tell Avril that you want "Article 47 of the Council Regulation establishing a Community control system to be deleted.
The European Elections are scheduled for June 4th. This is a real opportunity to lobby our MEP's, and they are the only people that are going to make a difference in this instance.

only problem is avril doyle is not running in the next european election - but otherwise by all means lobby the euro candidates
