browns bay islandmagee co antrim

carrickbeach& rockers s.a.c. 4th leg master angler
3pm - 8pm 1st feb 2009

fished the tide out browns bay islandmagee:

Weather:very cold but dry

Bait:rag, lug, mackeral

Rigs:flappers and flatty rigs

Results:size limit 200mm flounder, rockling, l,s. dogfish, whiting and coalies
also loads of undersized fish




surprised with the quality of the fishing really good for this time of year best fish was 33cm flounder caught by johnah which took the longest fish pool and 1st place with 9 fish
second was bobby l, and 3rd was willy c, a special mention to liz who came 4th with 3fish
i caught no keepers :oops:

it was really cold however no weed at all best at two hours into the low water and two hours in

if you go try straight mackeral seemed to be top bait although it was frantic and best at both sides of the river

browns bay is a great spot and only round the corner. well done stuarty, might get up some night during the week

hi boots i fished the bay today. It was a cold but dry day pretty nice surf goin fished it for 4 hours just got 4 dab and 2 dogs all on mack.

good result to see some fish still gettin caught up that way :D :D unlucky with no keepers wellie. it's a spot i've heard lots about but never fished. jordan's busting to get round to the power station to get into the doggies :roll: :roll: well done again mate, you might not be gettin the results you want, but at least you're gettin out mate :wink:
