Resin cracking

#1 Post by somedose »

Alright lads just a quick question,

Got a Greys Platinum GSI over Christmas but already the resin around the whippings on the lower two rinds is beginning to show cracks. Anyone have an idea how I can prevent them from spreading?
Cheers

I'd recommend to get in touch with the seller first, surely they have to grant you something under terms of warranty etc. or at least give you some advice how to fix this before you attempt to repair or tamper around with it yourself, which might infringe your warranty.

Greys have a lifetime unconditional warranty on ALL their rods.

Get onto them and see what they will do for you

the unconditional warrenty???if you break a tip or damage a rod badley it costs £30 to replace it and you have to cut the broken or damaged part up into small lengths and post it back aswell.no the epoxy around the ring foot should not be breaking at all never mind after a few months.get in contact with them, you will probably have to send it back to them or to the dealer that sold you the rod.cheers john
