SAI Tope & Blue Shark Meet, Carrigaholt, 18th and 19th July/09
This thread is to collect the names of Club Members for a tope and
blue shark boat trip. The boat booked is the Clare Dragoon.
Detailed reports of the fishing on this boat are here
http://www.shannon-fishery-board.ie/gui ... n_2008.htm
I'm starting the thread early so I can book a second boat if needed.
Report from last year is at

John, if you have any room left in that boat, count me in please.
It is not a matter of upper or lower class, but of being up a while and down a while...

I've had confirmation jd, jw and Tommy are definates for this
Tomi, boycie are yous in or out? 4 or at most 5 is the maximum for sharking
its not clear yet what the weather will do but water temps are high so blue shark
should be on the cards if conditions suit

the weather looks ideal for this, Sat can be used to fill a box of mackerel, plus some
reef fishing for species or a session at anchor. High water is around 2:30 on the beal
bar which is the ideal time for tope.

sunday can be shark fishing, looks like a light westerly will provide an ideal drift

On Sunday wind may pick up so there should be a bit of swell.

hi tommy, looking forward to these 2 days now. A bit of a breeze should help the boat
drift along giving a good long slick, also dispersing it well
