so i take it our government will be charging for licences and taking our hard earned money that could be better spent on fancy lures that will undoubtful be lost to the sea .
it is probably going to be pushed in to ireland first like everything else

O Taz if it only was that simple......... we will have a quota for every fish that is on the fishing quota list at the mo and every sea going boat that might want to fish will need a licence and going on commercial licences (which we will be in competition with) then there will be no more pleasure angling boats

nige i don't mean any disrespect but i know and have read this tread and in my opinion WE aren't doing enough before we know it this will be the law and then we are F****D

was reading "fishing news" this evening and it seems the commercial sector are strongly against this too as the quota for recreational boats will be taken from the commercial.seems fair enough to me,dont forget we all have a part to play if we want stock recovery.
