People: me and Nik
Duration: 21:30 - 00:30
Tide: rising
Weather: calm and peaceful, not too chilly
Bait: razor, mackerel, lug, sandeel, squid
Rigs: 4/0 clipdowns and 3 hook flappers
Results: whiting, whiting, whiting...
Report: Had high hopes for this mark as this time last year was fishing well for a variety of species (poor cod, pouting, whiting, coalies, dabs, ray) and thought it was a banker for getting my years species count up. Wasn't to be though with pin whiting appearing on every cast plenty of doubles and trebles among them, would have been a few counters among them.
Lovely spot and a lovely evening and was nice to get in amongst some fish, even if the variety I was expecting wasn't there.
Thanks to Pete for some left over bait that saved me having to go digging lug.

At least you had quantity!! Maybe the bigger fish will feed on the wee fellas over the next few weeks?
Still good to be kept busy even if they do drive you mad.
