Which Braid do you use
I am just wondering what the best type of braid is. I have been using braid for a while now for my lure fishing for pike but not on me bass reels. I find that it tend to get a lot of knots which are a bitch to get out. I have also tried under filling the spool but that doesn't make much difference.
I have been reading about new low diameter braids and want to get some info on what other people find cast friendly
Thanks in advance

I reckon PowerPro, never had any problems with it. As for the wind knots, under fill the spool, manually click over the bail arm and make sure there are no loose coils before you start retrieving, works for me.

Use the Spiderwire Stealth. It has a teflon coating which makes it almost improne to wind knots. This gives it a stiffer appearance than usual braid. Having said that last year I used Spiderwire Invisi-Braid in 15lb b.s. and had no problems what so ever.

just use extra swivels for spinning. A
As regards fillin spools. Drop your line into a bucket of water and fill up your spool to the brim. Open the bail arm and any excess should automatically come off the reel. Remember that your spool of line should be positioned differently for fixed spools and multipliers to prevent kinks.

What reel are you using? I've never had any wind know problems with my daiwa certate, shimano technium or shimano stradic. A decent reel with good line lay system seems to be the most reliable way to avoid knots.
I don't use swivels at all. My current setup is PowerPro braid to Seaguar Fluoro to Illex Hyper8 clip.

I use an Albright knot myself but I'd also be curious to know what other people use.

I'm using an Albright knot as well. Although either it or me doesn't seem to be 100% failsafe so I'd also be interested to hear other thoughts

Re: Which Braid do you use
I switched to the J-knot I spotted on worldseafishing. Works well for me. Anytime I've had to break out the fluorcarbon has snapped rather than the knot.
