People: Me
Duration:4:00 pm -6:00 pm approx.
Tide: rising, turning (http://www.irishtimes.com/weather/tides.html)
Weather: cold, windy, choppy sea
Bait: lug
Result: whiting
Having a quarter ton of lugworm left from the weekend, decided to give the north beach a go. In a word - crap results. More small whiting, which in the best tradition of a former taoiseach are beyond written record. To be honest, the cold got to me and I stopped early (normally immune to this but admittedly that going for a jog the lenght of the beach beforehand and then having your sweat freeze on your back wasn't very bright).
It was seriously choppy and I was fairly peed off to look out the window this morning and see it had eased off too. At least the wind killed the big frost that was expected.
Will try again tomorrow evening with the rest of the lugfest, but to be honest, I'm coming to the conclusion of writing this one off until the smuts arrive unless something bigger happens soon ....

Hi Uvox,
Tomorrow I'm planning to go to Ennereilly too, drop me a PM if you'd like and we can organize to go together.
Diego
PS
I never fished the north beach, it could be the right time to try it
