Thanks Century Man, i'm searching for codling, seems theres lot being caught up the east coast (Wicklow/Bray) and in Waterford seems they are missing the Wexford area altogether. :?:

Some reports on this site of a few being caught alright and I saw a pic of a fish over 6lb taken in South Wexford.

We not got among them yet but hopefully next outing. :) :)

hi
are you fishing day light or night
day will produce some good flounders and dabs in close
put a big bait out some great codling caught in day light
after dark the whiting will move in ,but keep the big baits going out
a good chance of that big cod
hope this helps.
good luck

Yeah... Century and myself have those Cod on the 'run' now...
We're getting closer, century Man... getting closer.
I reckon that 'Plan A' south coast mark last week would be a ringer, only for the weed. :(

Never actually tried fishing daylight for Cod, pete. Do you reckon they'd take just as good as night??
(Actually, thats a stupid question - sure Alby's Cod was got in daylight in Brayhead! - or was it ballyvaldoonigan?)
