Hi Jonny ,the only time I've fished close to there has been from baltimore from the boat ,with a couple of short 2 hr sessions in the evening after wrasse ,we fished below the white beacon at the entrance to the bay ,some nice fish around 3lb ,looks perfect ground for pollack and maybe huss . there's supposed to be mullet in the channel running up towards skibereen .
Also fished lough hyne and had some small doggies ,but loads of agro from some swimmers who didn't like us fishing from the wee pier .
rosscarby for mullet as well ,but your best to pm davy as he's fished it a bit more than me .
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

Hello Jonny,
I'd say you'll be heading towards Mizen for some good marks.
I haven't found paydirt down that direction yet, but check out
http://www.cfb.ie/fishing_in_ireland/sea/sea.htm
and hit sea fishing maps for Ireland. A lot of good info there, and if you have the time you can search marks in this site.
Tight lines
