HUGE pollock

#1 Post by doggie3131 »

People:me and jason

Duration:8am-7pm

Tide:one hour before high tide then all day

Weather:sunny and mild

Bait:mack,mussel, sandeel,prawn

Rigs:all types

Results:one pollock

Report:we thought it was time to start 2009 species list, so off to lecanvey we went to find the doggies that were there last week.one rod each was out at distance, the others fishing close to see could we tempt a flounder or coalie or anything really.Three hours later nothing!the crabs even left us alone! We decided it was time to move over to old head to deeper water,as the tide was moving out, five hours later, same result, nothing!!at this stage we were about to pack up and go when i had a bite and landed my pollock! :D (see picture) that got the juices flowing again and we decided to have a few more casts, two hours later, nothing  bloody nothing  :evil:so we went home,at least i did not blank, but i felt sorry for jason, not a good start to the new year for either of us
