lug rag razor mussel prawns :

clip down and 2 hook flapper:

2codling and 14 whiting:


headed out to a mark i having fished in a good few but knew that it produces cod in the winter months got down there and first cast got a nice little codling around 2Lbs and then for the next 1hour 1 was getting a whiting a cast and then another codling around the same size and them more whiting good start to my first outing of the year as i didn't get a cod all last year

Well done on the Codling - nice start to the year.
Cod season Winter 2013/14: 117 cod (best fish: 6.5 lbs)

Nice going shane,
good to see a few nice codling.Just wondering are the pots gone as i could'nt cast any distance with them the other night,had plenty of whitting and a few codling,had the feeling if i could have casted further would have got a biggie as they do show this time of year once the whitting bugger off.
Nice to get a few fish anyway as its been tough out there judging by the lack of reports from the cork area,well done and keep up the good work

there was 1 pot there to the left and the place was weed free and i must say it was the calmest it has ever been weather wise not a breeze as you know your exposed to all elements .
but its nice to see them showing up around now
