Walk the dog

In the sea angling Ireland guide 09, the author repeatedly uses the phrase "walk the dog" style retieve, What does this mean exactly.

its mainly a jerk baiting style .
the author must of been reading to many books on things to do while jerking :lol:

short rod pointing towards water at 45 degrees and slight wrist flicks of about 6 inches or so just to pulse the lure accross the water :wink:
