Big thanks to SAI

#1 Post by RockHunter »

I would like to say a big thank you to SAI - without this site I am certain I would have caught far less fish in 2008.

I started fishing in June 2007 - and just did spinning for most of that year (catching just pollock, mackerel and coalfish). It was only in the winter of 2007 that I seriously started on bait fishing - but didn't really have a clue until I discovered the SAI website late in 2007. This site has been a source of invalubable information, it has helped make a vast improvement in my fishing. So I would like to thank all those involved in the running of the site and all those who contribute to posts and especially those who have given me advice through the year.

My fish total for 2008 is 503.
Total Species 26,
Most notable:
Total Bass - 36
Total Wrasse - 45
Total Flounder - 65
Total Lesser Spotted Dogfish - 63
Best fish - 4 lb Ballen Wrasse from the Beara Peninsula

My fishing resolution for 2009: Fish more new marks, catch more and bigger bass and catch at least one mullet. Do more plugging/spinning for bass.
Bass target + 50
Total Fish target 750
Target Species: Mullet, ray

Cod season Winter 2014/15: 193 cod (best fish: 4.25 lbs)

same here it must be said.thanks to the site i've met some really good lads and a hippo
some of which have really helped me to improve aspects of my angling, introducing me to some cracking marks and helping out on the casting stuff, a special mention must go out to papa b, sean ivory, jp molloy, 'boycie the broken bicycle ', alberto and many more, a special note goes to a mr mark beatrix aka mb thrizzle, the sexy north dublin artist seeking male companionship has proved invaluable when it came to rig making, flattie bashing and the like, thanks lads, im still sh!t though!!!
