Weather:V.Light S.E breeze

Results:A few Rockling and more Whiting than we could count...
Report:
Thought maybe the SE wind might have been a bit more productive than an easterly, so we fished a well known productive mark on the east coast. There was a very high surf running, although 6oz seemed to hold the bottom OK.
Crackers was first into the whiting (as usual
The two lads hammered the whiting, while I was greedy and had two rods - 4/0 pennels with mackrel & squid (after removing a mackrel head, which Dave found most amusing!!
Philip and Paul then arrived (after a change of plan), but were too lazy to make it all the way to the mark...
Paul forgot his battery ('again', so I'm told
Dave reckoned he had a magic bait in his box, which later turned out to be sugarfree jelly babies
PeteWex turned up to say hello just before we left... we thought there was storm-troopers comin up the beach with the headlights!!
Twas a good nights fishing all the same, better than a blank. Thought there would have been a few codling though, or at least a bass with the heavy surf...
Didn't bother with any pics, I'm sure everybody knows what whiting look like at this stage!!
