Indeed. Could of course have somethin to do with the fact that the classic green mag elite has been upgraded! There is now the Classic 6500 C3 CT Mag. Saw one for €115 on the web. :wink:

The new Abu 6500 C3 CT Mag is the highest spec 6500 ever made, whats not to like about it, it has brass side plates, a better drag system, better gears and a better spool, and unlike the green MagElite it has a 5500 C3 CT Mag to match it :roll: :?

OK, i should clarify what i said. The new ones are higher spec. They are better reels. But for no reason whatsoever, i just don't like them. i do prefer the old 6500. saying that, i wouldn't mind the new 5500.

and before anyone says "try before you bash them" i have tried them. so it is just personal preference on this one.

Seems to be something up with the GAC site, it says £80 on the front page alright but if you click to order it you seem to be charged £99.99 ex vat (£127.99 inc vat & shipping) :? On the other hand the new ABU 6500 C3 CT Mag works out at £110.78 (inc vat and shipping) from Veals :? Either way with the exchange rate at the moment it certainly is a great time to buy gear from the UK, I just ordered a bunch of stuff earlier on today from Veals. :mrgreen:

so the new one works out at just over 113 euro so you would save just over a euro by buyin it from the uk instead of ireland. :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll:

Out of curiosity SK, where in Ireland is selling it for €115? not that I'm looking for one but that seems like a particularly good price especially for Ireland.
