Conger Reel advice needed

#1 Post by mann »

Lads can anyone tell me of a good reel for Conger fishing… it needs to hold at least 250yards of 30lb mono and have good winching power... to be used from rocks and pier,

I’m using a Magda boat reel at the moment that has no control and can explode in a blink,

In anticipation of your help I thank you, 8)

Cheers lads,

I hear the slosh is good in the casting sense as well... What about the casting capability’s of the other reels that you show above lads… can they control a good cast from the shore or are they better worked from a boat..

As it’s the shore I need it for it must be fairly well mannered and controllable

mitchel riptide never used it for congers but good winching power, big reel too for the shore better on a boat.
