spiddal, Co. Galway 24/12/08

People:moi

Duration:2:00-6:00

Tide:high at 3(ish)

Weather:not too cold, overcast, southerly breeze.

Bait:mackeral and squid

Rigs:all different sorts

Results:poor cod, pollack, dab, coalfish




Report:not a bad evenings fishing. got about a dozen coalies in close and also missed a conger :evil: . not much after that until it got dark then i had a few poor cod and a half decent pollack that i had for my tea, then last cast i got a dab, the first one i have ever caught or seen caught at this mark

fair play alex

i envy you so much - i havent been out in over a week now and im begining to feel the severe effects of withdrawal - dizzy spells nausea sweating - suppose more to do with the cause of my lack of fishing also - not just the fact my banger died :lol:

thats strange, this is the first proper session i have had in months. i stopped a while back and only just wanted to go again this past week.

nice fishing alex. I caught a flattie there years ago. Wasnt long fishing at the time so didnt know what it was.

i got a flounder off it during the summer it was the first one i had seen round there - mind you there was the rumor of a 5lb flounder caught in the bay side a year ago also!
