Duration:many hours, twas dark when i arrived home to my mansion in south county dublin

Report:it was decided last week to fish for cod somewhere in southern Ireland, due to the fact they must be in by now!! so rodger, i and buggs took the van down and met dennis at the mark. it was necessary to fill up our golden blood levels before an assault on these cod so my first ever stop to supermac's was made, it must be said it will be my last as i'd find a rivita cracker more appetizing than their 'snack box'.
according to dennis this was the hotspot, in fairness to the little lad it did look good and after the first two casts yielding whiting for me things gradually took a turn for the worse whatever bites we where getting had eased off and by now we had to endure slack water, borrrrrrrrring!! rodger was getting twitchy form fish withdrawal symptoms, the rabbit had gone off the play in the grass and by now, what has become synonymous of my personality , had meant i'd fallen twice down the grass bank trying to retrieve my gear. i like to call it left handed syndrome and no one noticed thank god. dennis decided distance was the approach here and winded up a big cast only to find his rig took a disliking to his reel and cracked off, eventually the little tyke got his codling,
and a whiting on the last cast. he still thinks he won but my fish where longer!! team dodger decided to flee across the Munster border and after a long drive to passage east i got to try my hand a car ferrying, it was deadly, i was like a child on crack!!we eventually found our next mark in the deepest darkest parts of wexford. a lovely surf was rolling in but the tide wasn't great, as this mark fishes best on the ebb for the big bass. sure enough first cast for Rodger resulted in a timid flounder-like bite which turnt into a full blown hammer down of the rod tip. we both managed two fine coalies each,all around the 40cm mark with rodger missing his fair share off flounder knocks. soon enough the bass came on the feed in a big way and almost every cast for three hours resulted in a fish or a good bite. rodger struck first with fish of 38cm and i followed with one on my next cast. then i got a double on the pennel rig, both small however. the fish where still hammering the baits, and rodger lost a decent fish in surf, looked about 3 and half odd, we missed a couple of proper slack liners, one of which had me running up the beach trying to find the lead, but once again the fish dropped the bait. on rodgers last cast he managed a fish bang on 40cm which unfortunately was oozing blood out from its gill, so it was quickly dispatched and kept for tea the next day. on my last cast i landed a fish of around a lb. decent oul days work!!
and a good report 
the 1 ye kept was at least 50cm!!!!!!!!! was,ent it.
