just headed down for a couple of hours just to myself out of the house on sunday but got nothing (now thats a first
). so tonite i hit it again in the dark and first cast got a tiny little whiting and just before i left i got the codling, not big, but better than nothing. had a couple of fish take before the codling but missed loads. one i think was a good enough fish possibly a doggie or a bigger cod but i'll never know.squid was the best bait, both fish were caught on it, flapper rig got both. seaweed and crabs on both baits and rigs too.
happy to get a couple of fish. for ages i have been catching loads of flatties, expected a few but sure. mite give the worm baits a go for them this weekend. always ind lug is best tipped with a strip of mackerel or squid.
