Donaghadee, Co Down, 15/12/08

People: Team McMinn(Dan & Drew)

Duration: 6.30pm-9.45pm

Tide: Low then a bit of Push

Weather: Cold, Windy, eww,

Bait: Mackeral, Squid, Black Lug

Rigs: Scratchers, Pulley, 2up 1 Down,

Results: Pouting, Pollack, Coalies, Shore Rockling, Codling.

Report:

Team McMinn were out tonight, as we havent been out in ages. Fishing was slow to say the least and we started off on the Pouting which always seem to show in there droves there now. (Never remember there being so many Pouting in the Dee!).

I launched a bait as far as I could put it toward Copeland on a 3/0 Penell Pulley but at rod remained still all night.

So we spent the night yanking out a miriad of mini fish for a few species, as usual we were quite competitive but its all a bit of fun.

Dan got 2 Wee Codling, and 2 Wee Rockling and a couple of Pollack to bring some variety, while I managed 2 Coalies and a few Pollack as well....

Would like to fish the Dee on the last 2 hours of the push soon, as I havent fished it at High Tide for quite some time...

Good to get out with Dan, hopefully get out again before the new year...

good to see the mc twins out again and bagging results :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: i fished there sunday overnight and got loads of wee pollock under 20cms, but nothing bigger. this time last year most of the pollock were around the pound and a half weight. don't know whats happend this year. but it's odd that bangor is carpeted in pin whiting and yet i never got a single one in 10 hours on sunday night :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :?

Nice bag there lads. Is definately strange that all you seem to hook into there is micro pollock, the decent ones are few and far between. I was down last Saturday, from 8.30 - 1.00 and managed a load of small pollock like yourself Al, along with a few shore rockling and sea scorpian. No pouting or whiting about :roll: Even with no monsters I was still happy enough, getting a lot of action.
