hi seanie, twas :) :) weedy all over the place man :) :) :) syitll is 8) 8) 8) ,it can be a curse at times :D when you can,t get away from it  :D :D we got some but it was gone by h.w. :D :D :D :D :D ,...................................... its often causes problums, if you go back west along the beach or drive you will get clear of it most of the time, same with the surf further west you go the smaller it gets.

Just looking at posts on this site and some idiot, who will remain nameless, is putting up pics of E Clonea. The nets will be out tonight. Goodbye to a good venue!!

I think that anglers should refrain from naming good venues and to put up pictures.... need I say anymore??

i would disagree with ya stan, bet you 99% of illegal netters would be locals who would know the areas inside out anyway. I thought i had made a similar mistake earlier in the year posting pics and naming an area i fished to then find an illegal net there , ive since found out it was a yearly occurance .

i would have to disagree also-theres plenty of guys on this site givin each other directions and advice on fishin spots here in waterford,no harm what so ever+i can tell u from an experience i had meeting a netsman earlier in year they know every nook and cranny of our coastline and rivers and dont need to be watchin this site for tips or reports--unfortunate but true :| :|

Hold on a minute stan,

1. where do you think the netsmen live?
2. if they are lookin at this site with any regularity they'l have seen the shitload of reports of all the bass bein got there without the "nameless idiots" picture
3. there ye go puttin up a report on shanleys with pics of bass and to top it off ye take a pic with someone holdin 2 bass at the end of shanleys lane - sure they wd never figure that out. Pot and kettle I would say about posts and pictures mate.

so its ok for you to go down to east clonea fishin but not any of the other genuine anglers viewin this site! Wots up, are you afraid your spot would be gone or that some other visitor might go down and get a fish?? High horse mate!

its the same everywhere u go the netsman knows every inch of coastline and doesnt need our limited knowledge of local "hotspots"and so on..theres no harm postin a few pics for non locals to get a headstart on a days fishing somewhere different :o lookin forward to tryin that spot soon :D p.s.nice fish cortaz

Apologies Shoreking. You are right. From now on could all anglers please name where they are catching fish and if possible post pics as well.

Stan,

I have never posted a report on this site namin a beach - always say waterford or west waterford. I put up a pic of a beach to help out guys with queries and it wasn't on the reports section deliberately. I never said I took a solitary fish off it. IMO you should have directed your post to those who do name beaches where they are gettin fish if you have an issue with that. However, you can't say that about anyone if ye name the beach yerselves where ye are fishin. Also, you can't expect to post up that guys are "idiots" and think they won't pick you up on it. Overall, your position seemed indefensible to me and thats why I put up my reply.

If you left out the "idiot" remark I would have posted up "well done lads, great fishin". You are lucky enough to be fishin with undoubtedly one of the best bass anglers around. He names the beaches and marks he fishes fairly regularly and even gives directions to them. I think hes a really helpful guy for doin that. He might even say that the more anglers that are out on these places the harder it will be for the illegal netters to get away with wot they are at, but I don't know. You posted up before that they go in and destroy ballyquinn every year in the run up to christmas. I totally agree, but they'l do that whether or not lads on this site are postin reports.

so we'l leave it at that.
tight lines on your next outing,

Stan firstly clonea is well known spot,be it from this site or fishing maps etc and secondly netters and others would know the spots inside out.I for one will never openly name a beach for all to see as i kind of like the idea of people having to do a bit of guess work. However i've never had a problem in passing on any info privately 99% of the time if i feel it will help a geuine angler.
Besides part of fishing is taking a chance and if reports go up with names of places it takes away the enjoyment out of knowing if you do catch something you would have done it the hard way and besides if a person does have insight into a place you still have to CATCH.
