How to clean a petrol lantern

#1 Post by diego »

Good morning all,

I have a coleman northstar since August, in the last couple of days it started to make some flames from the top part; these flames cause the glass to go black.
I contacted the on-line shop where I bought it and they told me that it could be just dirty and not faulty.

Quote:

<<generally the main cause of this blackening of the glass is that the jets of the lantern are blocked, when using unleaded fuel the jets will require regular cleaning.>>

What product and tools should I use to clean it?
Do you know any shop that can clean it for me?

Thanks

Diego
