Where to fish on Clonea??
Well lads I'm headin to Clonea this afternoon armed wit the best of lug targeting bass . Could any body tell me which side of the beach to fish from as I have only fished there once previous and blanked
any info would be great.

depends on what your after but the toilets end is a well known spot. Fish just to the right of the rocks on the filling tide. At low water you can fish to the left of the rocks in the little cove. If I were you I would drive further down the road towards stradbally until you see one of those big mirrors on your right and take that lane down to its end (beside a house, and mind the dog!). That is clonea east or shanleys. A very good spot. To the left is clean over as far as the ballyvoyle rocks. To the rights is more broken ground. If you can make it down before its dark you can assess the surf and then decide.
