Report: this plague is depressing - first casts both myself and mark snagged on the retrieve and lost gear - then i had a lead loss on the retrieve but eventually found a decent enough channel to get the gear through

whiting appeared and took everything - even had whole squid on 3/0 and they were caught

nothing but whiting, boring small, suicidal whiting - nearly 90% floated on release
depressing fishing

short mid and long distance it doesnt matter - large/small hooks - they were on within seconds at times

bloody whiting

once the first spits of rain arrived it was easy just to call it a day and pack up - must commend regular users of the rock on the dump it is now with rubbish - reminds me of blackhead - without the whiting

looks like small whiting are the spam of shore fishing in dublin and wicklow (maybe denial of service attack?)

Yeh not a bad beam out of it john...the guy sent me the old model 80 lumen one by mistake, he's sending me the 130 lumen one (which is what i ordered), god only knows how bright that will be 8)

Terrible fishing....

Thank god I went out tonight.....all is now good on the east coast
