seems to be, ive only been fishing outside of the wicklow/dublin area for a few years now and cant really make an educated comment, but from people have told me its not entirely unusual, i noticed that while bass stocks seem to be steadily increasing around the country, there going down in dublin or at least off my marks, last year i had 22 of one south dublin mark on plugs and bait to 7lbs and a further a further 9 off another mark just down the road, this year all ive got off both is 9, and no real decent ones at that, although ive seen one very decent fish taken on a sprat by a polish gentlemen, the same day i picked up four it might be said thats it, havent spent as much time on it either this year, but some days conditions where nigh on perfect and yet a blank was drawn!!
species for 2009 (42)
species for 2010 (27)
species for 2011 (12)
species for 2012 (8)
best advice for catching species is girls dont like fishing and its hard to catch fish when you sell all your gear'
