Near Courtown 02/12/08

#1 Post by diego »

People: me

Duration: 20.30 to 00.30

Tide: High Tide @ 23.30

Weather: No wind, drizzly rain at start, cold

Bait: Snake size Rag

Rigs: 3 hook rig

Results: 13 whiting and 13 small bass

Report:

Around 19.00 I decided to go fishing for some whiting.
I went to Courtown to buy some bait, I bought a pack of 20 snake size rag, I'm always amazed about their size!
There is a mark near Courtown that I haven't fished since September, it was a good opportunity to revisit it so I went to it.

It wasn't long before I caught a couple of whiting (decent size too), then a caught two small bass and a whiting in one go.
After a few whiting I caught another two bass in one go.
The session continued with some whiting and a couple of bass.
In the last couple of hours I caught 7 small bass and no more whiting.

It was the first time that I wished to catch more whiting and less bass

Good craic anyway.

Diego

nice fishing diego, your really pulling them in 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) . i always feel rag is often underestimated as a bait. so many species seem to love them :D :D :D
