for their size they give a very good account. Problem is you really need to be usin light tackle to get the best out of em, say gear rated 3oz or less. Added to the heavier gear I also got some crackin bass which gave a far greater tussle. Not complainin bout that tho!!!
good to see them still around touhgt they where only summer species go globle warming.got loads on hols earler in year in spain on real light gear some fight of them.

I eat a piece of bass every week (if I have it! ) but I also give a few to friends and especially elderly people coz I reckon its very good for the health.

Same here.
Friends tell me its nice barbecued or seasoned then baked in the oven. Me, I'm fairly helpless so I do all my fish in the Foreman! Havin said that, it doesn't take long and that gadget is good because it cooks things evenly from both sides. Bass is nice however it is cooked if you ask me. Your makin me think of goin out to catch more now. But I did say I'l definitely get cod tomorrow nite so thats d priority. If I get a good cod early on I mite catch some bass after.
gut and scale him , stuff with fennel and basil , slice the top side fillet all along and cover with thin slices of onion , slice a lemon and cover over the onion all along the whole fillet , wrap in tinfoil and place in the oven on 180dc for 25-30 mins then enjoy !! dont forget the salt and pepper afterwards ! the best way to cook bass .
