west Waterford beach30/11/08

People:me

Duration:7.30 till11pm

Tide:dropping

Weather:brrrh

Bait:fresh peeler and large scallops

Rigs:2hook flapper and 1hook pulley

Results:skiniest LSD ever

jesus I still thawing out despite being like the Michelin man with all the cloths. Had some scallops from the freezer to try along with fresh peeler. Set up the peeler on far out rod and set the scallop up on a close in rod, was trying out a rod I found in my dads shed...a Paul Kerry moonraker bass rod, very light and whippy but still strong. Let the scallop drift around with a 2oz lead and this took the only fish of the night about 9pm. No other bites. Still great to be on a beach somewhere 8)

Seanie,

had a look at metcheck. This wed evenin and into thurs suggests a change in wind direction. Again from Sun on wind is not from the nth and it will be milder next week by the looks of it. Something to look forward to!
