ah the east coast would break your heart sometimes :D scratching in the wind, hardly saw a bite... you bring all the gear, fuss over making decent rigs and getting decent bait, learn to chuck a lead out... i think i need a hug

Cold wasnt the word we were using yesterday.

I've only just got feeling back in my toes.

Though I'd put 5 pairs of socks on, when I got home I realised I only had 4 on, one mistake I'll not make again

Fishing was very slow, never have I been so happy to see a whiting and flounder, Mark started off ok, with 2 small dabs on his first 2 casts, then even he found it tough going......experience counts for vey little when times are that hard

Nice to be out all the same, nicer to get home and warm up.....

yeah, there was still frost on the sand there at mid-day.

plus, the black ice under the bridge on the way in is dangerous - skidded on it - coulda been nasty but i was doing 15 mph and at 6:30 am nobody in the incoming lane. watch it out there if you're traveling.

however, if there's fish biting i'll turn up in vest, shorts and crocs, whatever the cold....
