Silverstand, Galway 30/11/08
People:Jason, Me.
Duration:4:30-8:00
Tide:in, then out for about an hour.
Weather:not too bad at first, then it got very cold.
Bait:Mackeral and frozen lug
Rigs:flappers
Results:nada, blank, zilch, nothing.
got dragged out fishing by a mate who wanted to try sea angling(hes a coarse angler) for the first time. thought we might at least get a few pin whiting but alas, it was not to be.
it was still good to get out, haven't been out fishing in over 3 months at least. i think im a bit rusty.

Re: Silverstand, Galway 30/11/08
well now Paul, i have been around, just not too much fishing. our local spot me and a friend usually go to turned to crap in late summer and seeing as neither of us drive and we weren't catching anything it just didn't seem worth going fishing at all really.

Re: Silverstand, Galway 30/11/08
i dont know, i dont fancy being the only U21 fishing for connacht
that and the fact i haven't been fishing for so long ill probably embarass myself by not even being able to cast straight.
what sort of fishing is it gonna be......all scratching with maddies for whiting and flounder?

Re: Silverstand, Galway 30/11/08
It wont be scatching as such there should be loads of fish depending on the beaches they are fishing. Maddies might come into it if there not banned, all in all it should be a good championship with a strong leinster team.
