west waterford 24/11/08

Duration:1/3pm.

Tide:h.w.@ 3.30

Weather: cold north wind

Bait:lures

Results: 7 bass, around 2/3lb.

Report: had 5 in the first 10 mins. moved a bit and hooked a fish that snagged the line, tryed for a while to free it no joy, few mins. later spotted the hook bobbing about in the surf, retreved it 1 of the hooks had been broked off... glad to get it back. returned to were i started and got 2 more..........3 OF THE FISH WERE NET MARKED :evil: :evil: .

grand fishing there art, pity bout the marked fish, if those fish escaped the net would it mean any bigger fish got nailed by the net. Makes me wonder if the netting wasn't going on how good the fishing would be.

goin out tonite :) goin ta get a bust of em, :) but before i do think i will go spinnin for an hour warm up me hands.....................fished same mark as above yesterday...........there soild :) happy days :)

howdy art , i had a 4 hour blank on clonea last nite till 1 am :cry: , was using frozen crab but picked up some fresh today................any pointers for tonite where might fish well :wink:

hi sean, dissapointed to hear, tonite is a much better pressure risin, know the way to the little beach at ballymacart? thinkin of goin there myself for l.w. ?? :? or i might go to clonea were did you fish on clon?, know were shanleys boreen is if you gothere go about 400 meters to right until u come to the cove before the castle, best bass mark on beach....

fished to the right of the rocks in front of the strand hotel, is the castle the last carpark down the beach?. have yet to see the beach in daylight but could see some cars coming and going last nite.

sean, were u seen the cars is castle end, theres a mini headland there just east of this is were i was on about...................... anyway went there at about 4pm. had 2 @2lb, seen 2 others follow both 6/8lb. tooka pic. but camera blanked out batteries?..................now were to go later?????????????? :? bit offputtin hearin that u blanked there??????????????? :!: :?: :) seems the cam. was workin :shock: :)
