People:saltydog and myself

Duration:4 - 9.30pm

Tide:HW about 9

Weather:Dry and mild

Bait:mack squid sandeel lug
dd
Rigs:various

Results:Conor - 1 sea trout 2 flounder 1 coalie, myself 2 coalie, 1 plaice 1 flounder 1 3 beard rockling.




Report: First time out for me in about 2 months. Got 2 new spieces for me ever - plaice and 3 beard rockling. Conor has pics and will add later. Good night was had and it was peaceful without that crow fella :twisted:

Nice to see Nige back in the loop been a while since we last fished together. Lovely mild evening for fishing and a few species thrown in to boot :)

I dont see any plaice there either Nige. I reckon you have two flounder there

looks like a five bearded rockling nige ,nice session by the way .
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

its one of those hybrids you get there :lol:

as for the rockling id put money on it being a shore rockling myself

good to see a few fish there - the trout isnt a bad size - did he make it conor?

Aye he gave a good kick as i was putting him back the blood is from my finger tip as the hook was right at the back of the gills disgorger would've done too much damage, so ended up pushing the point of the hook out with my finger tip..... result me busted finger fish no damage :)

have no idea which rockling it was. I think we counted 3 beards. As for the plaice. Both salty and myself are or were pretty certain that it was a plaice. And it wasnt rough along the back when rubbed and to us looked different than a flounder. The spots really didnt come out in the pic.

Must admit at first look it did look like a plaice very big orange spots and quite rounded but the photo (3rd down) it does look more like a flounder :? :? .... hybrid maybe?? The rockling was definatley a 5 bearded caught an identical one last night.
