hi alan, what sort of distance were you casting out at m8. last time we fished that mark any cast under 50 yards resulted in lost tackle     which was really frustrating for my young lad. we were just casting straight out in front of us, but i was wondering if it is mabey less snaggy to the left or right :?: any advice would be appreciated m8. Its really snaggy for 50-60 yards out, but thats why there is plenty fish there. If you cast out far enough to get on the clean stuff its hard to get through the dogs. The sliding float tactic is perfect for this mark, I usually set the float between 15-20 foot. There is some big Coalies as well as pollock at this mark, great spot.
