Results:Wicklow beach - Me 2 bass, Eric blank......Wicklow Pier - me blank, Eric 3 rockling, dbrock & Croppyboy had coalie, whiting, flounder, the lads stayed on after I left, so not sure did they catch more ?!
Report: Eric showed me a new bass venue in wicklow, and with a nice surf on the beach, hopes were high, we both put out distance rods and fished a flapper in the suds. We fished this beach for around 3 hours, I got 2 small bass, eric nothing, both bass taking lug. I think eric must have been love sick, he wanted to head up to wicklow pier were the lads were getting good coalie('s), whiting and flounder (supposedly
). I thought we may aswell head up to meet the other 2 lads as it would mean we were a bit closer to home when the time came to pack up.Got to wicklow pier and the fishing had apparently been quite slow, myself and eric both lobbed out a 3 hook flapper, but bites were non existant. Thank god there was a little friendly banter, with eric and boycie(who wasnt even there), being the butt of most jokes.
Anyway, eric got a single and a double of rockling, but I had decided to call it a day now, having an early start in morning.
I'm sure the lads will add if they caught anymore fish
