intresting to hear about the mullet, i fished a make in the week and it was the same? 100s if not 1,000s of em all right in the surf and all along the tideline, mate recons they might have been feeding on herring roe as a lot of them spawn in the area........... nice plaice. 8) ..........ever try that mark for rays?

Nice Plaice Shane!!! Was after them all yesterday from the boat but the only ones i saw were the ones being hauled up onto that old green trawler that does the harbour's deck!! Disgusted I was lol. Millions of Whitting though so the rods were hopping all day

Great plaice there - interesting to see that you got it on prawn.
That's a bait that I have rarely used - must give it a go the next time I am out.

Last winter a few of the codling I caught in Youghal were full of prawns and small shrimps so it would probably be a good bait for cod too.
Cod season Winter 2013/14: 117 cod (best fish: 6.5 lbs)
Cod season Winter 2014/15: 193 cod (best fish: 4.25 lbs)
