etailers

Hi Dobermann

Check the links page on the front of this website
You can visit http://www.cfb.ie and get a list of tackle dealers for each county.

I would strongly look at the USA given the weakness of the dollar.
The outfits are big, export readily and are offering good value, ditto Oz.
The big etailers in the UK are welll known - personally I have used AAAngling (I think they are now called Birdstackle) and Veals, both excellent.

Always check the P&P and make sure to find out who the local courier here in Ireland is, as these are the chums that typically damage the goods...

2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks

Well Dobermann,

Jackson Lures worked well for me. Try searching the forum for them as there are a few posts from different people detailing their experience of purchasing from them.

Online tackle shops

I've used http://www.fishingmegastore.com/ - the Glasgow Angling Centre a lot in the past. Pretty prompt delivery, good prices, good about responding to emails etc.

Picked up a really inexpensive pair of 13 ft Ron Thompson rods with Okuma reels from them recently. Would be excellent for beginners, really easy to cast with.

It's a sad day when we have to ship our hard earned cash overseas to get a decent deal on tackle, not much fun for the local tackle shops either, I'll bet....

I have to second http://www.jacksonlures.com. I bought an ABU Sports Mag from them for EUR115 incl. postage. They delivered in 10 days and were very friendly to deal with. Even if what you want is not listed on their site they might still be able to source the item(s) for you.
