Ah, love these fish, that's the fish I was looking for in the south of France,(where I come from), along with gilthead bream.... I was using american worms a lot (a very good bait for all the sea bream family and bass)...Don't know if they come from the states... But as we have no tide we have to buy all the baits (american worms, corean worms, and netherlands rags...)....
2010: starry smoothound, common smoothound, bass, flounder, dogfish, scorpion fish, tub gunard, tope, thornback ray, bull huss, coalfish, pollack, mackerel, turbot, whiting...

2011: flounder, dab, 5 bearded rockling, whiting, dogfish, codling, starry smoothound, common smoothound, bass, bull huss ...

2012: dogfish, codling, starry smoothound (PB), bass, common smoothound (PB)...

Interesting. Stayed in Fuengirola for the summer hols in August. Nice spot. Lots of angling going on in the evening but didn't see a whole lot being caught. Maybe late season is better?

We're going again in 2009 and I might just pack a travel rod next time. That said, I didn't need to go to Spain to catch a Gilthead this year. :) What species was the other fish in the picture? Haven't seen those turn up in Cork (yet)....

Hi, all this fish likes big surfs, so if you see the sea very calm....no fish.

PD: Becarefull with this one: http://filaman.ifm-geomar.de/Summary/SpeciesSummary.php?id=1363&lang=English dont touch it with hands...is very dangereous and very easy to fish in Fuengirola!!!!
